Invading the airwaves

We had a great time last week at KJHK 90.7FM, Lawrence’s local radio station.  We were the “special guest” on Plow the Fields, a show that focuses on local KC and Lawrence bands.  We played four songs live in the studio, talked a bunch of nonsense, and picked a couple of our favorite local bands to hear on the air.  It was really a lot of fun and we look forward to the next chance we get to do something like this.  If you didn’t get the chance to hear it, we may be posting the audio for you to listen.  Now we’re breaking for the holidays and traveling to see family.  When we return we’ll be getting back to writing and booking for tour next year.  We’ve also got some exciting shows coming up early in January!  Hope to see you all there.

p.s. for you gear nerds…found a ’68 Band Master, 2×15 cab, perfect match for the baritone.  Excited about that.

Break over, time to get back to work

Hey everyone, we’re back from the craziness of the holiday and ready to start working on new songs.  We’ll be cleaning and setting up the practice space today to get back into work mode.  We might just have to change our name to “Tonight: Epicness Ensues!” but well see what happens.  Also, Kevin has a new idea for our live show that I think is going to be awesome.  (more on that later)

Anyway, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  We look forward to seeing you at upcoming shows.

New merch & Go Karts

We just got another t-shirt in from print. We printed this one on V necks, and the other design on crew necks to give everyone options. Now we’re just waiting on the CD’s and posters that should be here on Friday. We’re excited to finally get the physical copies of the album, because we recored it in April, the painting was done in June, and the album layout was done in September. Now I can finally say we have an album out. Here is a picture of the shirt we just got in:

Yesterday some of us went carting, and it was fucking awesome. Next time we’re going to get some more people to go with us, because only 4 people can get kinda boring on a big track.  Here’s a couple pictures from our outing.

We had to watch a Safety Video that we laughed our way through.

That’s me in cart 21! Although I was first it only took Terry 2 laps to pass me, and then lap everyone else.

It’s hard to read this, but all you need to know it that Jason came in last, and Terrence just raped everyone.

First shipment of merch in!

Just got our first shipment of t-shirts in! We’ve got another design on the way, printed on white v-necks. All our new merch will be available at our next show, on Saturday, November 13 at the Riot Room! Shirts, Stickers, posters and yes, CDs (finally).  Also we’ll have all of our merch available right here on the website as soon as we get it in.

Played two nights ago with Call Me Lightning, Keelhaul, and Russian Circles at The Riot Room.  It was cool playing with one of our favorite bands, they are great dudes and put on an amazing show. All of the bands on that tour are super talented, and hopefully we can work out a show with Call me Lighting in Chicago, they blew us away. Here’s a clip of Russian Circles playing “Death Rides a Horse” from the show in case you missed it:

Terrence finally framed the album artwork, and it looks awesome. Now he just has to decide where to hang it. Our friend Ryan Bock from Chicago painted it, and if you dig it check out his other work at Ryanwbock.com
